Location not given on photograph except for "South of Glover Land." In a Joplin Globe newspaper article of August 6, 1974 (page 3B), written by Frances Baker, a Tom Cat Mine is listed among the mines known to have operated around Badger, Kansas, north of Galena, Kansas. Other mines in this area were: Peacock Mine (first in Badger vicinity), Red Dog, Blue Racer, Riverside Rose, Dodge, Dead Horse, and The Duck.
