1 Head. Quarters Army of the South-West Little. Rock Arks June 11 1862. Special Orders No 1 } I- Captain George, having reported at these Head Quarters for orders, will report to Col [Charles A.] Carroll, at Clarksville Ark, for duty. By command of Maj-Gen [Thomas C.] Hindman R. [Robert] C. Newton A.A. Gen. [line break] HeadQuarters Army of the South West Little Rock Arks June 12th 1862 Special Orders No 2. } I. Charles Stewart is hereby assigned to duty as A Q Master of Col A. [Allison] Nelson's Regiment Texas Vols. with the rank of Captain, to take effect from this date. II. Col [Albert W.] Johnson's command will be confined to the counties of Phillips, Desha, Monroe and that part of St Francis, west of L'Anguille and east of Bayou de View. - Major McNeills command will be confined to the section of Country east of L'Anguille III. Col [Andrew B.] Burleson's command will consist of the remaining Country east of White River, as far up as Black

Description | Special Order No. 1 ordered a Captain George to report for duty at Clarksville, Arkansas. Special Order No. 2, which continues on page 2, named the assistant quartermaster of the 10th Texas Infantry (Nelson's), and confined Colonel Albert W. Johnson's command to certain counties in Arkansas and Colonel Andrew Burleson's command to east of the White River. Additionally, Johnson, Burleson, and Major Archibald McNeill were ordered to conscript into the service any roving or unattached companies. Order No. 2 continues briefly on page 3. |
